03 Mar ALDEIA – 01 MARCH 2020 – WATER BOTTLE

I noticed that almost all travelers have their own special water bottle. I say special because it is an object with different designs, it’s reusable and its owner gets very attached to it. 

A few days ago a volunteer broke his water bottle by mistake. He was stuck for 5 minutes with his mouth half-open and his eyes staring at the pieces. I could understand his pain in his reaction so I kept a moment of silence in his honor. 

I wish I could tell him “you’ll buy another one”, but I knew from our previous talks that he had bought it in Holland and you couldn’t buy it in Brazil. 

We contemplated the moment together. 

I wanted to help him, I was thinking I should sweep the place, but then maybe he wanted to keep the pieces?! 

In the community’s fridge, you can see all the volunteers’ water bottles nicely arranged. 

A regular 1.5-liter glass bottle is everybody’s to share. 

Of course, that one is the first to get emptied. 

If I want cold water then I ask one of my volunteer friends to fill my glass. 

They kindly do that, but I feel a little distressed in the inside that I don’t have a bottle.

Other than that, nothing, all’s good…

STICLA DE APA

Am observat ca aproape toti calatorii au cate o sticla speciala pentru baut apa. Spun speciala pentru ca este un produs cu un design aparte, este refolosibila iar posesorul se ataseaza foarte tare de ea.

Zilele trecute un voluntar si-a spart din greseala sticla. A ramas blocat 5 minute cu gura cascata si cu ochii atintiti la cioburi.

Dupa reactie i-am inteles durerea si am pastrat si eu un moment de reculegere.

Mi-as fi dorit sa-l consolez, sa-i spun, “Lasa co o sa-ti iei alta“ dar stiam din discutiile anterioare ca si-o cumparase acum cativa ani din Olanda si ca in Brazilia nu se gaseste asa minunatie.

Am contemplat impreuna momentul. Imi doream totusi sa-l ajut, sa ma apuc sa matur dar in acelasi timp ma gandeam sa nu se supere ca poate si-ar fi dorit sa le pastreze!

In frigiderul din bucataria comunitatii gasesti aranjate frumos atatea sticle cati voluntari sunt.

O sticla de sticla normala de 1,5l este sticla tuturor.

Ei, aia se goleste prima!

Daca vreau apa rece, ma adresez unuia dintre voluntarii prieteni si rog frumos sa-mi umplu un pahar din sticla personala.

Amabili, imi raspund imediat ca-i fara nicio problema dar eu ma simt pe interior responsabil si ma intreb, “Mah, dar tu de ce nu ai sticla?!”.

In rest, nimic, toate bune…
