Today is anniversary day. It’s been 7 months with Lollipop cruising through South America.

With this occasion we thought of sharing some facts we learnt along the way:

– visited countries: 5 – Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil

– driven kilometers: 12,212 km

– fuel: 1,600 liters

– cheapest gasoline: $0.5 in Bolivia

– most expensive gasoline: $1.2 in Brazil

– broken engines: 1

– flat tires: 3

– crossed borders: 5 (one on water in Argentine to go see Iguazu Falls)

Best experience

We don’t have a “best experience”. In Peru, on the way to Machu Picchu, we stopped at the thermal waters of Santa Teresa, and we sat together with the kids in the most clear and warm water with a natural spectacle in front of their eyes. We got out of the water last ones, late at night, after watching all toghether the stars in the sky.

In Bolivia, in Salar de Uyuni we watched the most magnificent sunset.

We travelled an entire week to see the Iguazu Falls. We were in 3 countries in 2 days. We were camping in Paraguay, we left the pets there and we crossed the river by ferry to Argentine to see the waterfall from the Argentinian side. We returned the next day and then left for Brazil and went to see the Brazilian side of Iguazu.

We have plenty of beautiful moments, we can say without bragging that each day was special and beautiful in its way.

During these 7 months traveling around South America some of the meetings were meant to happen others were by destiny. We are happy that we met all the travelers. Special love to Fran and Nico and happy marriage :), Mayra, Youen & Elliot, Luis, Cristian & Claudia, Paulina, Cezar, Adrian, Simon, Mirela, Mark, Martin, “El Argentino” – Max.

Sorry If I forget somebody right now.

Most valuable lesson

You can live a simple life, you can be happy to have your family around you all the time and you can fit your wardrobe in a carry-on.

Something called Marriage

It’s not exactly easy to live 24/7 in 2 sq meters. With 3 kids around, a huge dog and a cat. But, surprise, we like it! 🙂

I am family blog is part of our project. We didn’t think it would be so time-consuming and difficult, but we do it with pleasure and amusement.

We had full support from our extended family, it would have been harder not having them “with us”.

Astazi este zi de aniversare. Implinim 7 luni de mers cu Lollipop prin America de Sud. Cu aceasta ocazie ne-am gandit sa impartasim niste statistici de pana acum:

⁃Tari parcurse: 6 – Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazilia

⁃Km. parcursi: 11.212 km

⁃Litri de combustibil consumat: 1600 litri

⁃Cea mai ieftina benzina: 0.5 $ (Bolivia)

⁃Cea mai scumpa benzina: 1.2$ (Brazilia)

⁃Motoare distruse: 1

⁃Pene de cauciuc: 3

⁃Treceri de frontiera: 5 (una cu BAC-ul in Argentina pentru a vedea cascada din Iguazu)

Cel mai bun moment

Nu avem un cel mai bun moment!  In Peru, in drum spre Machu Picchu, am oprit la apele termale de la Santa Teresa, am stat impreuna cu copiii in cea mai limpede si calda apa avand in fata ochilor un spectacol naturaI. Am iesit din apa ultimii, noaptea tarziu, dupa ce am privit inmarmuriti stelele de pe cer. In Bolivia, in Salar de Uyuni am vazut cel mai incredibil apus si am fost atat de fericiti ca l-am trait impreuna in familie. Am alergat o saptamana intreaga sa vedem cascada de la Iguazu. Am tecut prin trei tari in doua zile. Eram campati in Paraguay, am lasat animalele in camping, am traversat cu Bac-ul in Argentina sa vedem cascada de la Iguazu de pe partea Argentiniana, ne-am intors a doua zi dupa care am plecat in Brazilia sa vedem aceeasi cascada, acum de pe partea Braziliana. Avem multe momente frumoaste, putem spune fara modestie ca aproape fiecare zi a fost speciala si a avut o frumusete aparte.

Regrete

Nici macar un regret!

Cea mai importanta lectie

Poti sa traiesti o viata simpla, poti sa te bucuri de familie non stop si poti trai cu sifonierul intr-un geamantan de mana.

Ceva numit casnicie

Nu tocmai usor sa traiesti 24 de ore din 24, 7 zile pe saptamana in 2 metri patrati. Cu 3 copii orbitand in jur un caine imens si o pisica. Si surpriza, ne place! 🙂

Blogul I AM Family este parte integranta a proiectului nostru. Nu ne-am imaginat ca va fi atat de time-consuming si obositor dar o facem cu placere si amuzament.

Ne-am bucurat de asemenea si de suportul familiei fara de care cu siguranta ca ne-ar fi fost mai greu!
